Tactile markers

SI2TV Marker - Wireless Markers with Tactile Feedback

(Use with PTI VZ4000v/VZ4050 Motion Capture Trackers)

This wireless intelligent marker is also the world's first tactile feedback marker.It can vibrate to send stimuli to your subject and prompt motion. It can alert your subject of motion deviation or simply validate motion accuracy on cue.

Tactile (haptic) feedback in motion capture opens up a whole new range of applications in research (Rehabilitation, Biomechanics, Sports Science) and Virtual Reality.

It consists of a vibration unit, a radio receiver, a micro-controller, and a multi-chip LED with 170 degrees detection angle. One unit can control up to 2 LED targets.

Weighing only 15g (including the rechargeable battery), it can be attached directly to the skin or velcroed on a motion capture suit.

Like its predecessor, the SITMarker, it is powered by a rechargeable battery and comes with a built-in fixed marker ID for flawless identification.

It combines the best features of the passive and the active optical motion capture marker technologies.

Standard LED Markers

These are the standard LED markers which a Visualeye tracker can capture. They are packaged in different ways for application conveniences. The flat-based versions are intended for direct attachment to the skin with double-sided tapes or medical adhesive. The Velcro-based are for attachment to Velcro-compatible suits or wraps. The multi-chip LEDs are intended for longer distance larger motion sensing, while the single-chip LEDs are for applications which require higher capture accuracy.


SITMarker - Completely Wireless Marker


This is the latest completely wireless intelligent marker. It consists of a radio receiver, a micro-controller, and a multi-chip LED. To operate it, simply plug in a battery. It comes with a built-in fixed marker ID for flawless identification. The battery is self-protected to prevent from over-depletion or over-charging. It combines the best features of the passive and the active optical motion capture marker technologies.

Target Control Module 32 (TCM32)


This TCM can power and control up to 32 standard LED markers. It can be powered by a battery pack or a DC power convertor. Its green indicator will flash whenever the power supply voltage is below normal, or when it detects that a LED's connection is reversed.

Target Control Module 16 (TCM16)


This TCM can power and control up to 16 standard LED markers. The 16 channels can be assigned to occupy either 1-16, 17-32, 33-48 or 49-64 LEDID banks. The high compactness makes it ideal for wearing around a wrist for fingers motion capture or similar applications. It comes in two versions, one for operating as part of a standard marker system, the other can be used in conjunction with a SWMarker system to reduce the overall wiring.

SI3TMarker


This is a SITMarker with two more multi-chip LEDs connected to its two side-connectors. All three LEDs will have their own distinct marker IDs. This three-LED intelligent self-identified marker is convenient for capturing the 6DOF information of an object. It can also be cost-effectively used as three independent markers. Note that the original center LED can also be replaced by a third LED on short extension wire if desired.

SIM Transmitter


This radio transmitter is for operation with the SIMarkers. It operates just like the regular marker transmitter, except on a different radio frequency.

 



Mini Target Control Module (TCM8)


This TCM can power and control up to 8 standard LED markers. However, each marker will adopt eight distinct marker IDs. Whenever any of the IDs is enabled the marker will flash, this makes it possible to be captured at a different frequency than other markers. The small size and light weight of the TCM allow for applications on small animals, props, wrists, the head, or for operating a VZLaser laser pointer.

Tetherless Marker Control Transmitter

This is for tetherless operation of a standard LED marker system or a SWMarker system. It broadcasts the control signals required for controlling the markers. A matching receiver is required for receiving the signals. Thus a transmitter-receiver pair serves as a 'virtual wire' which replaces an otherwise required tether cable between the tracker and a capture subject and allows the subject to move freely.

This constant-current constant-voltage battery charger can simultaneously charge up to eight batteries for use by the SITMarkers.

SWMarker – Semi-Wireless Marker


This intelligent marker system will reduce up to 90% of the wiring requirement compared to the Standard LED Marker system. Each SWMarker comes with a distinct built-in ID for flawless marker identification, and is powered via a wire-pair by a half-size battery block. The battery block can power up to three wire-pairs and a radio receiver for tetherless operation. Each wire-pair can support at least ten SWMarkers. The wire-pair is long enough that some slacks can be given between adjacent SWMarkers so that one battery-wire-marker set can be used for many applications. In case necessary, the markers can still be moved along the wire-pair to suit an application.

Tetherless Marker Control Receiver


This device is for receiving the marker control signals broadcast by a matching transmitter so that a standard LED marker system or a SWMarker system can be controlled without an otherwise required tether cable between the tracker and a capture subject.

Finger Motion Capture Gloves


Intricate finger and hand motions can be captured with this special glove pair. Made with stretchable Velcro-compatible fabric on the back side and mesh material on the palm side for sensitive touch, this glove set allows tiny Velcro based markers to be easily attached to nearly anywhere required to minimize occlusion and allow the highly complex finger motions to be captured.

VZSuit


This two-piece stretchable Lycra motion capture suit is completely Velcro-compatible (except for the armpit areas). It allows for free unrestricted acting motions. The actor/ performer simply slips into the suit and is ready to begin motion capture. The top piece is zippered on the front for easy wearing. The suit may come complete with TCM(s) and LED markers strategically placed for optimal full-body motion capture if desired. For applications which require unique marker placements, custom-designed suits may be ordered. The VZSuit is designed for quick and easy arrangement of the LED markers for optimal capture performance and easy suit cleaning. Any wiring required can be covered with removable Velcro strips.

 


VZProbe Contact Digitizer

This is a stick device to facilitate digitizing the 3D position of a point in space or on an object. It can also be used for establishing a coordinate reference frame. By outfitting it with an appropriate tip, it can even be used to digitize surfaces not in the line-of-sight of the tracker(s), for example the underside of a car or the inside of a cup.

 


Tracker Clamp


This heavy-duty three-piece stainless steel clamp will hold a Visualeyez system tracker sturdily for permanent or semi-permanent mounting on a rigid surface or a truss. It is used whenever a tripod may be too intrusive.

 


Truss Mount Set


This heavy-duty mounting assembly, complete with a Tracker Clamp, will hold a Visualeyeztracker sturdily for permanent or semi-permanent mounting on a 42~52mm truss. The ball joint will allow the mounted tracker to be tilted and turned to any orientation.

 


Flat Wall-Mount Set

A Visualeyez tracker can also be mounted on a flat wall using this heavy-duty metal assembly. It consists of two flat end-plates, each with a ball joint, interconnected by an extension rod, and completed by a Tracker Clamp. The mounted tracker can be turned and tilted to point in practically any orientation.


Tripod-L

This is a lower cost but still heavy duty industrial tripod for mounting a tracker. It comes with one extendable leg for tilting, and with one adaptor to join with a Tracker Clamp for holding a tracker. This is the tripod that comes with the ‘–SM’ series of the Visualeye systems.

Motion Capture Vest

This is a Velcro-compatible vest for easy attachment of markers for upper body motion capture applications.


VZLaser Remote 3D Digitizer

This is an optional, handheld, synchronized, laser-pointer that is used for digitizing the 3D shapes and sizes of objects for modeling, research or reverse engineering applications. It operates just like an LED marker, except it comes with a push-button switch for activating the digitization only when desired. Since no physical contact is required, the VZLaser can be used to digitize even non-rigid objects such as a dress or soft tissue.
