  Description

Motion Capture System with VZ4050 Tracker

The VZ4050 tracker offers all features currently available with the Visualeyez VZ4000v, at half the form factor!

Effectively measuring only 62cm in length and weighing in at 2.2kgs (4.9lbs), the VZ4050 offers real-time active optical motion capture through the patented 90° wide-angle technology. Markers can be sensed from as close as 25 cm and as far as 7 meters away.

A single VZ4050 can be used to capture 3D motion data from up to 512 uniquely identified markers in real-time, and multiple VZ4050 units can be strung together to capture a larger area or motions from multiple subjects and objects.

All VZ4050 trackers come with the new 'Distributed Tactile Feedback' capability. This allows them to activate the vibrator-equipped markers to vibrate and thus provide tactile stimuli or cues to motion capture subject(s).

The new small form factor at 62cm opens up real-time capture research possibilities in areas such as human factor engineering, cockpit pilot-instrument interaction, car driver-dashboard interaction analysis, in-vehicle crash test monitoring, Virtual Reality, Virtual Training, Augmented Reality, etc. This is further facilitated by PTI's unique Automatic and Continuous Multi-Tracker System Calibration capability provided through VZAutoCal and by the latest Instant Continuous Multi-Tracker System Calibration capability provided through VZInstaCal for flexible environments.

Each VZ4050 tracker features a thermal-cycled rigid carbon composite construction for permanent calibration accuracy and stability, with a lightweight aluminum shell. The optional elegantly designed custom aluminum tripod also doubles as a heavy duty protective case during tracker transportation.

Motion Capture System with VZ4000v Tracker

For motion capture users who require more accuracy and exclusive features, Phoenix Technologies is proud to offer the new Visualeyez VZ4000v trackers.

VZ4000v still provides all the sensing features of its predecessor (VZ4000), except now it can also activate vibrator-equipped markers (individually) to provide distributed tactile stimuli or cues to the subject(s) in real-time, thus enabling new R&D possibilities especially in the 'virtual' and neuroscientific fields.

A 'bvr' series VZ4000v tracker can now capture up to 4850 3D marker coordinates per second. Multiple VZ4000v trackers setup practically arbitrarily can still be calibrated Automatically and Adaptively by the VZAutoCal, and now even instantly by the latest VZInstaCal in case the tracker mounting structure is flexible and/or in motion!

The VZ4000v system maintains backward compatibility with all software programs!

Each VZ4000v tracker features a thermal-cycled rigid carbon composite construction for permanent calibration accuracy and stability, with a lightweight aluminum shell. The elegantly designed aluminum tripod also doubles as a heavy duty protective case during tracker transportation.
