For motion capture users who require good performance and full body motion capture, this predecessor of the VZ4000 may already provide sufficient capabilities for the purpose. This series of trackers has proven itself to deliver real-time top quality motion data for projects ranging from computer animation for film and video games to scientific research.
The processed data is normally displayed graphically in real time on the friendly VZSoft™ graphical user interface (GUI) and exported through VZSoft™ plugins, in real time, to many industry standard animation and scientific applications, including:
- LabVIEW
- MATLAB
- Autodesk Motion Builder
- Visual3D
Each VZ3000 tracker features a rigid carbon composite construction for permanent calibration stability, with a lightweight aluminum shell. The elegantly- designed aluminum tripod also doubles as a heavy duty protective case during tracker transportation.
The tracker performs four primary functions:
- Receives and executes the user commands specified via the VZSoft™ GUI
- Controls the intelligent TCMs (Target Control Modules) to turn on the LED markers in the specified sequence
- Senses the marker lights and computes the marker XYZ coordinates
- Outputs the coordinates to the host device synchronously
